The artist has donated the entirety of his twenty-five thousand pound award cash to the MVT, which functions to preserve the Britain's independent live music spots.
Fender was awarded the award on October 16 as his latest record the album was declared the best record of the past year.
Fender has decided to hand the money over to the trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function small stages played in his beginning days.
"I couldn't be pursuing this success if it hadn't been for all the performances I did around the area, and further afield, when I was starting out," stated the artist. "These venues are iconic, but they are in difficulty."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these venues have ceased operations – roughly one-sixth of the whole industry in the UK.
Recently, well-known musicians including Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the trust in its attempts to support the industry, by adding a modest fee to their ticket costs, which goes to help smaller concert halls.
He also participated, generating in excess of £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to support thirty-eight local spots across the UK.
The money supported locations that were dealing with potential shutdown due to difficulties stemming from flooding, blazes and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and noise complaints.
Other venues received monetary aid in modernizing facilities and gear that directly benefitted artists and fans.
"The idea that revenue from concerts in large arenas supports the smaller venues, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just common sense," Fender has stated.
Fender is not the first artist to contribute his award winnings to good deeds.
